Publications in 2018

Ingenium Group is working mainly in research. Therefore, the publications are the main production in order tot protect the intellectual property of the work done. This report shows and analyses the publications in 2018 and over the last year.

Ingenium has published 31 research works in 2018. Figure 1 shows the publications in 2018. The number of the research papers, 8, has decreased regarding to 2017, 17, being 4 papers published in Journals catalogued into the Journal Citation Report (JCR). JRC employs InCites, a customized citation-based research analytics tool on the Web that enables you to evaluate institutional productivity and benchmark your output against peers worldwide. Based on Impact Factor (IF) data, the JCR published by Thomson Reuters provides yearly rankings of science and social science journals, in the subject categories relevant for the journal (in fact, there may be more than one). Quartile rankings are therefore derived for each journal in each of its subject categories according to which quartile of the IF distribution the journal occupies for that subject category. Q1 denotes the top 25% of the IF distribution, Q2 for middle-high position (between top 50% and top 25%), Q3 middle-low position (top 75% to top 50%), and Q4 the lowest position (bottom 25% of the IF distribution). In 2018, 3 papers were published in Q1 (Reliability Engineering and System Safety, Applied Energy, Renewable Energy), 1-Q2 (Energies). 4 papers were published in other journals, most of them published in International Conferences (Lectures Notes on Multidisciplinary Industrial Engineering and IOP Conf. Series: Materials Science and Engineering). 2 more papers have been accepted in 2018 and they will publish in 2019 in Q1 (Wind Energy and Renewable Energy). It can be concluded that quality of the journals where the papers have been accepted has increased regarding to previous years, and the number of research papers have decreased.

3 international books have been published in 2018, edited in Springer and Intech, the most important editorials in the worldwide. This number will be increased in 2019, considering almost 6 international books to be publish in Elsevier, Springer, Intech and IGI.

8 chapter books has been also published in Springer and Intech. The number of chapter books is estimated to be increased in 2019, where there are accepted nowadays 9 in Elsevier, Springer, Intech and IGI.

Ingenium has presented the main advances in the most relevant International conferences, e.g. “1st International Conference on Welding & NDT, of HSNT and WGI”, “12th International Conference on Management Science and Engineering Management”, “Advancing Materials and Manufacturing, CAMS2018”, “1st International Conference on Welding & NDT, of HSNT and WGI”,… publishing a total of 12 international conference papers.

The research and development activities has been done accomplished through more-effective products, processes, services, technologies, or business models that are readily available to markets, governments and society. The innovation activities of Ingenium has produces 2 patents, that are being evaluated by the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office.

Publications over the time

Ingenium has published a total of 281 publications, see Figure 2.

Ingenium has showed the main scientific advances in the most important conferences, e.g. IEEE, IFORS, ICMSEM, CM, RENEW, AREMA, APMOD, E2KM, CIO, ECMS, ICAM, ICISM, RCM, SAFEPROCESS, WCCM, ICREPQ,... presenting 90 conference papers.
The research group has been published 25 books in the most important editorials, Elsevier, Springer, Pearson, Mc-GrawHill, IGI, Intech, Nova Science, AlfaOmega, Marcombo, ProQuest, Academia Española, UCLM, etc. Ingenium has published also 65 international chapter books in these editorials.

The innovation tasks done in Ingenium together with the industry has produced 5 patents, 1 International and 4 Nationals, and 2 are under revision.

Figure 3 shows the publication productions over the time. The production has been rising from 2012 to date. The peaks in 2013 and 2015 are produced by the delay of the editorials to publish the research works, e.g. research papers written in 2018 will be published in 2019. The number of publications has been increasing from 2016. The references generated regarding to Scopus have been increasing from 2011. The references in 2018 are subjected to some updates from Scopus, being estimated, considering the references updates from previous years, around 30, i.e. more than 300 in 2018.

Figure 3. Publications over the time

The main interest has been focused in journal research papers, where 93 journal papers have been published, being 42 in JCR journals (Q1: 25; Q2; 12; Q3: 4; Q4: 1). There are 2 journal paper in Q1 that are being published in 2019. Figure 4 shows the journal papers over the time, where the research papers are being published in the most important journals, e.g. Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews, Reliability Engineering & System Safety, Journal of Cleaner Production, Renewable Energy, Applied Energy, International Journal of Production Research, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing, Annals of Operations Research, European Journal of Operational Research, Wear, Smart Structures and Systems, Structural Health Monitoring, Quality Engineering, Engineering Failure Analysis, Global NEST Journal, Acta Acustica United with Acustica, Energies, Maintenance and Reliability, International Journal of Systems Science, Logistics and Transportation Review, Quality and Reliability Engineering International, Measurement, Journal of Rail and Rapid Transit, International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology, etc. It has been also published 51 journal papers that are not considered in JCR, most of them from International Conferences.
